I don’t know how others are, but I dream a lot every night: in colors, in various shapes, I have the most surprising conversations. I would say that there are times when I can’t wait to go to bed, out of curiosity.
Studies show that we sleep about 122 days a year and, on a normal night, we have a 90-minute dream. Most people have between three and five dreams every night, and some may even have seven. By the age of 60, we would have slept about 175,200 hours, we would have had about 197,100 dreams, for 87,000 hours (according to Kets de Vries, Dream Journeys, New Territories for Executive Coaching).
Our subconscious tells us something in a dream. Sometimes it’s easier to decode, other times we realize only after a while what the dream message was. We have 11 million pulses / second, which are not conscious, and 40 are conscious. A little attention to what is happening in our inner life can give us some useful information.
I recently dreamed that I was in Paris, at Dolce & Gabbana. I was trying on some clothes, I was negotiate. I associate D&G with lush, extravagant stories.
In the rather monochromatic landscape of existence for a year now, a visit to the fairytale universe of commercials, shops and D&G clothes seemed to me a much desired vacation.
Extending a little, maybe some of us now lack diversity, inspiration, color, action. It is necessary to establish an intention for ourselves to seek this inspiration, to keep our spirit at high levels, above the everyday routine, often tasteless, aggressive, less tender.
