”A few years ago I parachuted. I wanted it for a long time, but when the time came, I was a little scared. I thought about what was the matter with me, why couldn’t I stayed still, what I needed to risk like that. I can say that it was one of the most spectacular experiences and that I would repeat it anytime. Entrepreneurship, especially now, for me, is like parachuting for the first time. It comes with a mixture of many questions, doubts, desire to take risks, to be active, with worries, moments when you have to say to yourself: ‘come on, head up, knees hard!’. You don’t really allow yourself to say it’s hard for you. No, it doesn’t matter if you are sick, have a fever, have an infection, have any pain, you have to deliver, because… you have to:

  • Always have energy, working power;
  • Be there whenever you need to;
  • Find solutions;
  • Find money, even from dry stone;
  • Take care of others;
  • Listen to people;
  • Do several types of activities, just like a circus juggler holding several balls in the air;
  • Motivate others;
  • Always think that whatever it is, you have to give salaries;
  • Cut your income first;
  • Bring money from home, if necessary and if you have it;
  • Don’t expect anyone to see that you are human;
  • Don’t think about the holidays, not now;
  • Think ahead about how you manage the weaker activity during the summer or the holidays;
  • Do as much as possible on all levels, to increase your chances of reaping some benefits later;
  • Get up quickly when you fall, shake off the dust, arrange your clothes, and move on, without crying, without nostalgia;
  • Don’t wait for recognition, you risk being left with your hand outstretched.

Do you find it difficult? It is what it is, it comes with a certain independence, with adrenaline, the feeling of freedom, the feeling that you make your schedule, that you decide, but it’s worth the effort, right? Being an entrepreneur means mental concern for business 7 days a week, the ability to motivate yourself, to always find energy sources, to reinvent yourself, to manage all kinds of people, to get past negativities just how the water passes by the rocks, to build from nothing, as some have built tall towers in sandy areas, to be always looking for something, a personal Grail that seduces you.”
