The way in which younger generations organised to help the older ones, who went through a difficult period or did not have anyone close. Luckily I am connected on Instagram with a few people, that is how I saw what they did. I find it commendable, noteworthy that millennials are not just ‘entitled’, lazy or whatever. Au contraire!
The way some “celebrities” choose to protest against the rules set by the Minister of Health and the WHO, loudly claiming that there is no virus, behaving and throwing on social media posts stating: ‘let us have our fun, let those who want stay inside to stay inside’. The pinnacle of stupidity!
The resistance that some of us have regarding the video function during calls. I wonder what can happen if someone sees you? You are still you, I find the video can function as a mirror too, you can see your reactions, you can analyse yourself and modify something if you consider necessary.
Teachers’ efforts to switch to online learning. It was not perfect, it was to be expected. Switching a course online means completely rethinking the way of interaction, of transmitting information. It is like learning something from zero. You try, make mistakes, fall, start over, and fall again…and I am sure that in the end, it will turn out alright.
The appreciation shown to doctors by the media, during the state of emergency. I am happy that we showed generosity and recognized the efforts made by the medical staff. But it bothers me, since May, how we behave without any concern for ourselves and others, making their efforts more difficult.
What surprised you during this period?
