I have not had this feeling of disorientation since the time when I had to choose between Iliescu and Vadim Tudor. I do not understand how it was possible to change a government and then, in the elections, demand it back.
What do you mean people don’t go to the polls? What do you mean you have no one to choose? At least you choose the promise of change. And, beyond the lists, voting is a right you have and you ‘choose’ not to exercise it. Have people died in the past for you to have this right and not exercise it? Do you even know what this apathy means? What does it bring? Or are we no longer interested?
It is another example of a situation that shows us that education in Romania has many gaps and must become a priority. By education I do not mean the school only but all the parts that contribute to the construction of a person: parents, relatives, TV, magazines, influencers, public figures.
Apathy means the death of the will, of the spirit. In the last 30 years, many of those who have led this country have cultivated ignorance. This is where a large number of leaders brought us and who, speaking of the song, ‘want you stupid’.
