I am one of those who advocate not to leave out the verb “should”. When I hear that nothing should, I roll my eyes, at the risk of staying that way.

You don’t have to learn languages, why understand what others say?

You don’t have to go to work, you can beg, live off the charity of others or your parents’ money, if you were born with a star on your forehead. You don’t have to treat others with delicacy and respect, you can slam the cup, the plate, the laptop, lie, position yourself as an eternal victim of the world;

You don’t have to go to the doctor, you look on the web and you know better anyway;

You don’t have to respect your teachers, what more do they want? You could always give lessons in Romanian, English, French, history, mathematics, physics, biology, sports, right?

You don’t have to respect the rules of society, only losers respect them! For example, why sit in traffic and don’t you always drive on the tram or bus line?

We don’t have to use polite formulas when addressing waiters, they are there to serve you, the great man who can afford to go to the bar, restaurant, so you can behave like a slave master of antiquity.

You don’t “have” to study, you can stay as you were when you were 3 years old, trying to shove ice cream in your eyes!

You don’t have to take out the garbage, you can keep it in the house, that’s how the cockroaches find their place!

It’s all choice, I understand, but once you’ve made your choice, shouldn’t you behave accordingly?
